Where it all started.A company you can count onThis company started in April of 2000 as a stay at home mom started designing web pages for non profit companies. As the economy was beginning its great fall, more and more IT/IS people were getting laid off from their jobs. One of them was her spouse. After 3 companies that he was working for went under, they finally decided that he could join her in the in home business. It was not known to them at the time that the economy was going to plummet even more. The companies that needed an IT/IS staff but had already let them go, were looking for somewhere to turn for help with the machines that they had. The opportunity presented itself more than a few times for Zylo-Net to step in and fill the shoes of the "would be" IT/IS staff that the company would have if their business would pick up. Some time passed and several companies came to call on the services that we had to offer. Our goal is to work with companies that don't have an IT/IS department and fill that position for them on a part time basis, until they are big enough to fill that position. We are even eager to help find someone to fill that position for those companies if needed. "It's exciting to make a hobby into a career, I actually get excited about going to work", says Laleña Wilson, founder and CEO of Zylo-Net. It was always something that she loved to do, as a stay at home mom, working part time out of her home. She had no idea that it would grow so fast. Branching off was a benefit she had never counted on. Bill Wilson, Director of Business Systems, says, "Zylo-Net has a long way to go, but its growing fast. With each new client comes a new set of challenges." Bill was a Director of Business Systems for a recording company for over 5 years; he also headed up the IT staff for a "dot com" company. These upper management positions not only gave him the knowledge of the computer industry but taught him how to apply it to the business world. "There seems to be a serious communication problem between the computer field and the management field. There have been many times I have had to come in and mediate between them." explains Bill.
